Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited donated Tk 5 lakh to the widow of diploma engineer Kazi Altaf Hossain who was abducted and killed by unknown men at Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan on December 17, says a press release.
Meanwhile, Institute of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) yesterday expressed deep shock over the death of Altaf, who was working with a South Korean company there.
A statement, signed by IDEB President MR Khairul Umam and its General Secretary Kazi Nazrul Islam, expressed condolence to Altaf’s family members.
They also demanded the Afghan government to bring the killers to book and urged Bangladesh government to support Altaf’s family members.
