A woman was arrested from Barobagh in the city’s Mirpur Sunday on allegation of cheating people by claiming to possess spiritual powers.
Police said they held Sandhya Margaret, 52, following a warrant issued by a Dhaka court after a victim filed a case against her.
Complainant Shayamol Hilarious Costa said Sandhya used to claim herself as ‘Saint Peter’ (a high level spiritual leader of Christian religion) and took valuables from believers.
