A 22-year-old housewife allegedly committed suicide following a conjugal feud by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her house at Mohammadpur in Dhaka Monday afternoon.
The deceased, Afroza Begum, had a girl child.
The victim’s husband, Sohel Khan, said Afroza committed suicide following an altercation with him over a trifling matter at about 3:00pm.
Anjuman, the victim’s sister, said Sohel had been torturing her sister soon after he got married six years ago.
The police have recovered the body.
