Dance can be a language of life to express something. Daily lifestyle can be expressed by dance by its performance. All kinds of barriers and unusual things like eve teasing and drug addiction can be removed from the dance through dancing. Dance can open closed eyes of human minds,” said noted dance artiste Anwesha Ahmed at a view exchange meeting at the Bengal Shilpalaya at Dhanmondi in the city recently to disclose her present activities in Bangladesh.
Anwesha, hailed from Dinajpur, took higher degree on dance from the UK and India. After staring her activities in London she started her activities in Bangladesh under the banner on ‘Anwesha Company.’
Besides presenting dance Anwesha Company has taken initiative to give ideas on deprived and destitute children about dance, to establish open dance school and to raise voice against many dissimilarities in the society through theatre and television productions, said Anwesha.
“We have also plan to introduce dance therapy for the mental patients. I have experiences these kinds of activities in the UK and India,” she said at the meeting.
Later her production titled ‘A Minds Journey in Search of Destiny’ was screened in the programme. Her production was presented in the Europe earlier, according to Anwesha.
