On the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, Channel i will air three plays written by the country’s noted litterateur and playwright Humayun Ahmed. Among the plays, the writer himself directed two titled ‘Nishikabya’ and ‘Rail Gari Jhom Jhom’ while his wife Meher Afroze Shaon directed the third one titled “Khalequzzaman Chowdhury’r Bishwo Record”.
The cast of the play ‘Nishikabya’ included popular actors Amirul Haque Chowdhury, Ahmed Rubel, Meher Afroze Shaon, Shahriar Nazim Joy, Ambrin and Ninith, son of Humayun Ahmed. The shooting of the play ‘Rail Gari Jhom Jhom’ has not yet started.
Joyonto Chatterjee, Faruk Ahmed, Jewel Rana, Masud Akhanda, Shamim Shahed and Lux-Channel i super star Urmila performed several characters in Shaon directed play. ‘Nishikabya’ will be aired on Eid day at 7:50pm, “Khalequzzaman Chowdhury’r Biswa Record” will be aired on the second day of Eid at 9:35pm and ‘Rail Gari Jhom Jhom’ will be aired on the third day of Eid at 7:50pm.
