Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman finished 44th position in the 15th Dubai Open Chess Championship held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Monday evening.
Zia earned 5.5 points out of nine matches while Russian GM Rakhmanov
Aleksandr emerged champion with 7.5 points in the event.In the 9th round matches, Zia lost to GM Pantsulaia Levan of Georgia.
A total of 196 players from 34 countries, including 38 grandmasters, took part in the event.
