The police detained a college student in Sylhet Wednesday night on charge
of impersonating a sub-inspector of police.
The arrested was Ruhul Hossain, 25, an under graduate student of
Tajpur Degree College at Osmani Nagar in the city.The police said Ruhul misbehaved with security guards at Osmani Medical College Hospital gate at around 8:30pm on Wednesday when the guards asked him to show gate-pass for entering the hospital to visit a patient.
He showed a fake identity card of a police sub-inspector but the security guards became suspicious at his imbalanced talks.
At one point of altercation, the guards confined Ruhul inside the hospital and informed Kotwali police of the incident.
A team of Kotwali police arrested him. A case was filed
