Bangladesh Bank on Wednesday said halal meat exporters would get cash incentive for their income received through advanced telegraphic transfer against letters of credit and agreement.
The halal meat exporters were earlier receiving their cash incentive against export only by showing that they received export earning through LCs.The BB on Wednesday issued a circular to authorised dealer branches of all banks amending another circular issued on October 2, 2012 and clarified that the exporters would also get incentive against agreement-based advance income.
It said that other issues of the October 2 circular would remain unchanged.
The BB in that circular had said that to get incentive against TT-based transaction, the exporters would have to mention specifically in the LCs that the advanced payment would be made through TT.
BB in the circular said that the authorised dealer branches of banks would ensure the accuracy of the product value, the credibility of the foreign importers and clarity of the TT documents.
The accurate price of the export products and the credibility of the foreign importer would be approved by a testimonial certificate from an export association.
Besides, the export association have to be endorsed by the export promotion bureau or the commerce ministry.
