The champion team from each district will be eligible to take part in the tournament. The preliminary round will take plac in seven divisions and the final round will be held in Dhaka.
The champion and runners-up side might be promoted to the next season’s Bangladesh Championship League.
The BFF had previously signed a Tk three crore contract with Prime Bank Limited to organise the district football league.
The governing body of football provided Tk one lakh to each district to organise the football league and they promised to distribute another Tk two lakh in the future.
After receiving financial assistance and assurance from the highest football body, 11 districts have already finished their league while six districts are currently running their meet. Five or six districts will begin their league anytime in the ongoing month.
‘We are planning to set up a national competition in August with the district’s clubs but only those districts will get the chance who follow the BFF guideline,’ said Kader.
He was also hopeful that Prime Bank Limited will sponsor the newly invented competition by providing an additional Tk 60 lakh to organise the tournament.
