The National Poetry Council’s Dhaka University unit was formed with the English department professor Kajal Bandyopadhyay as its president and poet
Aleem Haider Dhrubo as general secretary, a press release said.
The central unit approved the newly formed 19-member committeeafter it had been formed on June 4 at a general meeting, presided over by
Kajal Bandyopadhyay, at the arts building, the release said.
The other executives are vice-president Masuduzzaman and Samaresh Debnath, joint general secretary Repruchai Marma, organising secretary Shah-e-Alam Saddam, treasurer Paisanu Chowdhury, publication affair secretary Sardar
Mahabbat Ali, cultural affair secretary Najmul Hossain Bidyut, office secretary Khalid-Ibn-Maruf, and the members are Muhammad Samad, Zahid
Hasan Mahmud, Shah Mohammad Moniruzzaman, Abdullah Al Muktadir, Saidul Islam, Sadia Mobashara Zannat, Mahbuba Chowdhury and Unmesh Roy.
