The Chittagong City Corporation on Friday launched its
three-day programme to celebrate 150 years of the city.
On the occasion, a rally was organised at the outer stadium at 4:00pm and later its participants, led by the city mayor, Monjur Alam, moved in a procession to Mohammad Ali Road holding banners and returned to outer stadium.
Addressing the rally, the mayor assured the city dwellers of providing better service.
As part of the programmes, a seminar will be held at a community centre in the city on Saturday and a traditional ‘mezban’ with a get-together of corporation officials and employees will be hosted on Sunday, according to CCC officials.
