Three Bangladeshi were nabbed by Border Security Force of India in separate incidents on Saturday and Sunday. They arrested Bangladeshi national
Ullumia, 36, from the Benipur Kushumpur frontier in Jhenaidah.
Border Guard Bangladesh sources said Ullumia was arrested while returning home with fourteen cattle.
The BGB Chuadanga Commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Asad said a flag meeting was held in the morning between the two counterparts.
However, Border Security Force of India denied the allegation and said Ullumia might have been nabbed by the patrolling team of BGB.
In a separate incident, Indian Border Security Force picked up two Bangladeshi school students on Sunday from Pakuria border of Kushtia.
The victims were identified as Azmat Ali, 15, son of Rafiqul Islam and Abdullah Mamun, 15, son of Ekram Hossain, both from village Pakuria.
They were the students of Class X of Pakuria Secondary School and Insafnagar Secondary School respectively.
BSF abducted Azmat and Mamun when they went to visit their paddy field near the main pillar No 153- (123) at about 10:00am on Sunday, said Lt Col Kazi Arman Hossain of 32 Border Guard Bangladesh Battalion and local sources.
BGB- 32 Thotarpara camp commander Habilder Shamsul Alam sent an official letter to BSF protesting at the abduction.
But BSF did not reply the letter till filing of this report.
‘We do not know anything about their release or prosecution,’ Lt Col Kazi Arman Hossain, commander of 32 Border Guard Bangladesh Battalion, told New Age.
