The Walton-Cute Singra rowing competition is scheduled to be held in the Singra Kumri Lake under the Kalihati Upazila of Tangail on August 11, with 1,500 rowers taking part in the sixth edition of the competition.
Mir Kaisar Sadik Sajib, the convener of the competition, made the announcement at a press conference in the Bangabandhu National Stadium conference room. Walton’s additional director FM Iqbal Bin Anwar and others were also present.
The Singra Social Welfare Jubo Sangha is organising the competition
with the assistance of Walton and Cute. There are to be five events at the competition: 100-rower, 50-rower, 25-rower, seven-rower and seven-women –rower races.
The winners of each event will receive Walton LED colour TVs, while the first and second runners-up will get 21-inch colour TVs and 14-inch colour TVs respectively.
