Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) conceded their first defeat in the Walton Refrigerator International Invitational Women’s Kabaddi Tournament to Andhra Pradesh by 12-22 points at the Dhaka Kabaddi Stadium on Monday. In the day’s other matches, BJMC defeated Nepal by 15-8 points, Andhra Pradesh beat Assam by 25-17 points while West Bengal outplayed Nepal by 50-11 points with five creditable lonas.
Five teams — Nepal National team, West Bengal, Assam and Andhra Pradesh of India alongside lone local side BJMC — are taking part in the five-day meet, initially on league basis.
Later, two top teams will play in the final on Thursday.
