The police and narcotics control department members arrested four people from the capital’s Pragati Sarani area for having narcotic materials in their possession early Sunday.
The narcotics control department deputy director, Golam Kibria, said, ‘Acting on a tip-off, the police and narcotics department members arrested singer Parul Mahbub and her three associates with Yaba and wine of different brands from a flat on the 10th floor of Subasto Nagar Valley.’
‘Parul was a drug trader in disguise of singer,’ he added.
A case was filed with the Gulshan police.
