Teenagers on Tuesday said awareness and use of foot bridges was important to ensure road safety. From a campaign conducted at Mirpur 10 in the city, they also said road safety finally ensures accident-free country. The campaign was organised by BRAC Kishor Kishori Club while about 150 teenagers participated in the programme with the slogan ‘Ensure safe road for an accident-free Bangladesh’.
They encouraged the pedestrians to use the foot bridge at Mirpur during the programme.
Officials from UNICEF’s child protection department and BRAC education programme were also present.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s west zone supported the programme.
