The City Bank on Friday launched internet banking service, Citytouch, to facilitate its customers in home and abroad to perform online banking activities without any extra charge.
The bank’s chairman, Rubel Aziz, inaugurated the service at the bank’s head office in the city at Gulshan in Dhaka. City Bank managing director and chief executive officer K Mahmood Sattar, additional managing directors Sohail RK Hussain and Faruq Mainuddin, and deputy managing director and chief communications officer Mashrur Arefin were present, among others.
Mashrur presented a demonstration on the service on the occasion.
‘Citytouch is a full-fledged banking solution software which can be downloaded onto customers’ mobile devices like cell phones, pads and also onto laptops and desktops,’ he said.
He said the new internet banking service included real time transaction of current, savings, fixed deposit accounts, transfer of funds from City Bank accounts to any other bank accounts in the country.
‘The internet banking service will allow our customers to execute payments of mobile phone and credit card bills, school fees online,’ Mashrur said.
He said the service would also enable our customer to buy airline ticket for domestic routes online.
The highly secured platform will allow customer to find out real time street directions for the branches and ATMs of the bank and information of all its products and services, he added.
