Noted dancer duo Samim Ara Nipa and Shibli Muhammad will present different genres of dance at a programme to be aired on the second day of the Eid programme at 10:20pm on Maasranga TV.
The dance show titled Jalnupur will also feature 30 dancers of Nrityanchal, the dance school run by Nipa and Shibli.
‘We will present different types of dance forms at the programme. There will also be theme based dance recitals like depiction of dreams and stream of rivers,’ Nipa told New Age.
‘The one-hour show will be very colourful one. I believe the audience will love to watch it,’ Nipa added.
Nipa further said that dance is neglected in Eid special celebrations programmes aired on different channels despite the fact that a good dance show can add more colour in such arrangements.
‘Dance is one of the greatest forms of art and one of the best sources of pure entertainment. Yet, I do not know why dance is ignored in Eid programmes,’ a frustrated Nipa said.
‘It’s more regretting that these channels air entertaining programmes in which “stars” present dances when the professional dancers are over looked,’ Nipa added.
Nipa further said that the dancer duo will also attend in celebrity talk shows on different channels in the Eid festival.
