Grameenphone on Saturday launched 3G service for its customers of selected areas in Chittagong and Sylhet on commercial basis. Grameenphone is the first operator to lunch 3G in Sylhet commercially, said a news release. Colourful processions were brought out in both the cities to mark the occasions. The Sylhet mayor, Ariful Huq Chowdhury, inaugurated the procession in the city. Brand promoters of the company also visited different institutions and offices of the area.
Currently Agrabad area of Chittagong and Mirabazar, Zindabazar, Chouhatta, Amberkhana, Karimullah Market, Porjoton and Airport areas of Sylhet are under 3G coverage. Other areas of both cities will be covered within this year.
