Detective branch of police arrested an assistant of a lawyer along with 125 pieces of Yaba tablet and 35 grams of heroin in Sylhet on Friday.
The arrestee was identified as Azad Ahmed, 35, a resident of Kazitula area in the city and assistant of a lawyer, sources in the police said.Being contacted, detective branch inspector of Sylhet Metropolitan Police Mohammad Mursalin told New Age that Azad was challanged at Tilagar in the city around 1:00am when he was returning home in a motorcycle.
‘The police seized 125 pieces of Yaba tablets and 35 grams of heroin from him,’ the police inspector said.
He said the arrested young man was produced before a magistrate court Friday afternoon. The court ordered to send him in jail.
