More than a hundred students of civil engineering department of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology continued their token hunger strike for the third day on Wednesday, demanding continuation of classes which remained suspended since last six months.
They laid siege to administrative building and civil engineering department of the university dividing in two groups to press home their demand. As a result, all official works of the administrative building came to halt as officials and employees were unable to get in.
On the other hand, teachers of the civil engineering department also insisted on their indefinite work stoppage to press home their four-point demand.
When contacted, VC Professor Dr. Md. Alamgir said that he left no stone unturned to resolve the crisis.
