Rokia Afzal Rahman, chair of Arlinks Limited, has been re-elected the president of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 2014 term.
The chamber’s new committee in its first meeting re-elected her for the post on Monday.
Anis A Khan, managing director and chief executive officer of Mutual Trust Bank, was elected as the new vice-president.
The other members of the committee are: Syed Tareque Md Ali, managing director of Kushtia Cold Storage Limited, M Anis-Ud-Dowla, chairman of the Advanced Chemical Industries Ltd, Tabith M Awal, managing director of Kay and Que Limited, Akhter Matin Chaudhury, chairman and managing director of Nuvista Pharma Ltd, AKM Rafiqul Islam, chairman of Rangamati Water Front, Md Saiful Islam, managing director of Picard Bangladesh Limited, Habibullah N Karim, managing director of Technohaven Company Limited, Adeeb H Khan, senior partner of Rahman Rahman Huq, Golam Mainuddin chairman of British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Ltd, Kamran T Rahman, managing director of Pubali Jute Mills Ltd and Mamun Rashid, vice-chairman of BD Venture Limited.
