DCCI seeks time extension
The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday urged Bangladesh Bank to extend time limit for loan classification. The DCCI sent a letter to the central bank governor requesting him for giving more time to the entrepreneurs to repay their loans as the ongoing political unrest seriously affected the businessmen, especially the manufacturers, said a DCCI release. The chamber also urged the central bank to instruct the scheduled banks not to consider the loans of businessmen as classified if they fail to repay in time considering the ongoing political crisis and its devastating impact on businesses, it said.
