BRAC EPL Investments and Silicon Valley-based Japanese venture capital firm DEFTA PARTNERS have recently signed a memorandum of understanding to set up a joint venture in Bangladesh for equity-related investment. DEFTA PARTENRS chairman George Hara and BRAC EPL chief executive officer Khaled Yusuf Farazi signed the MOU on behalf of their respective companies.
Combined with the BEIL’s expertise in Bangladeshi financial market, DP will bring emerging new technology investment experiences in Silicon Valley to the rapidly growing market in Bangladesh, said a news release issued by BRAC EPL.
‘The companies strongly believe this joint venture will bring a unique value to Bangladesh and accelerate the development of next generation leading entrepreneurs and companies as well as that of venture capital investment market,’ the release said.
