Two former US national footballers — Tony Sanneh and Linda Hamilton — spent a busy day at the Bangladesh Football Federation astroturf teaching football skills to youth footballers on Tuesday.
The two former star footballers arrived in Dhaka on Monday to conduct a football workshop for three days as part of a ‘Cultural Exchange Programme’ of the US State Department titled ‘Sports United’.
The programme is being hosted by the American Center of US Embassy, who is assisting the BFF in this regard.
Linda, who played for the title-winning USA side in the 1991 Women’s World Cup, is set to conduct coaching sessions for women footballers from the Under 17-21 level.
Meanwhile, Tony, who was a member of the USA side in the 2002 World Cup, will take coaching classes for women footballers between age 13-16 and men footballers aged 17-21 over the next couple of days.
