The Higher Secondary Certificate and its equivalent examinations of 2014 will begin on April 3, said an education ministry statement on Monday.
The examinations were supposed to begin on April 1, but were deferred by two days after a request from the Election Commission because of the upcoming Upazila Parishad elections, said the statement.
The written examinations will end on June 6 and the practical exams are scheduled to begin on June 7.
This year, around 10 lakh students under 10 educational boards, including madrassah and technical boards, are expected to take the exams across the country.
