The Bangladesh Football Federation on Monday sought Tk 39 crore from the government to keep the ball rolling round the year. BFF president Kazi Salahuddin placed a budget when he met finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhit at his office. The budget includes the expense of Bangabandhu Gold Cup, the money to run all the competitions and activities including the operational expense of football academy in Sylhet.
Muhit promised all kind of assistance from the government.
‘We had a lot of discussion regarding the football budget and I officially got it at last,’ Muhit told reporters.
‘We will consider the BFF’s proposal as the government want to keep football rolling and do everything what they need.’
He also agreed to unveil the logo of the six-nation Bangabandhu Gold Cup Thursday.
The third edition of Bangabandhu Cup football will be held from January 29 to February 8.
