The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Sunday said that it was planning to resume the Award Nights a decade after it was last held. ‘We will try to host the Award Night at a convenient time,’ BCB’s media committee chairman Jalal Yunus told reporters at a press conference. The last two BCB Award Nights were held in 2006 when best cricketer, best batsman, best all-rounder, best emerging player and best journalists were recognised. .
Meanwhile, the BCB said it is also planning a separate programme to distribute the trophies among the winners of Dhaka Premier League.
They failed to hand over the trophies to DPL winners since 2008.
