Satellite television channels will broadcast special and attractive programmes for their viewers on the occasion of Eid festival.
Besides the three days of Eid holiday, some of the channels have taken up ten-day programmes that include films, telefilms, dramas, live musical programmes, celebrity shows and shows for the children.
State-run Bangladesh Television has also drawn up a 10-day schedule of special programmes that include Bengali feature films, telefilms, dramas, musical and magazine programmes.
Channel-i will air about 24 dramas, 12 telefilms, world premiere of a film and a good numbers of magazine and musical programmes during its seven-day special schedule for Eid.
The channel has also planned a 72-hour non-stop chunk with no repetition of any programme.
ATN Bangla will air special programmes for seven days. The programmes include seven feature films, six telefilms, 14 dramas, 10 musical programmes, three dance and five magazine programmes.
RTV has also chalked out a week-long schedule featuring five cinemas, two telefilms, 15 dramas, 14 musical shows including three ‘phonolive’ and two dance programmes.
The six-day Eid programme arranged by Ekushey Television includes five films, three telefilms, six dramas, and eight musical programmes.
The satellite channel Desh TV will arrange five-day programmes including cartoon show for the children, five Bengali feature films, eight dramas, five musical shows, three celebrity shows and a magic show.
Banglavision will telecast five films, 10 dramas, four telefilms, three different celebrity shows, 10 musical and two dance pogrammes during their five day Eid schedule.
NTV’s five-day arrangements include five films and telefilms, 10 dramas and musical programmes, three programme on cinema and songs, four celebrity shows an entertainment show.

Drama ‘Bhagfal Shunno’ directed by Mostafa Kamal Raj and starring Moushumi and Hasan Masud, will be telecast at 12:15pm. Full-length Bangla film Gangajatra directed by Sayed Ohiduzzaman Diamond and starring Ferdous, Popy, Shimla, and Shahidul Alam Sacchu will be telecast at 2:30pm. Drama ‘Bhalobasa’ written by Humayun Ahmed and directed by Mazharul Islam and starring Mahfuz Ahmed, Meher Afroz Shaon, Hasan Masud and Marzook Russel will be telecast at 7:50pm.
