With immense zeal and fervour, Scholastica Senior Campus, Mirpur staged the splendid play ‘Tasher Desh’, a masterpiece by the revered poet Rabindranath Tagore. The school’s STM hall served as the majestic environment for this two-day annual drama festival, culminating on a Friday.
The talented students, members of the esteemed drama, music, and dance club at Scholastica Senior Campus Mirpur, graced the stage with an elegant and captivating performance in this theatrical masterpiece, said a press release.
Suborna Mustafa, a distinguished personality, renowned actress, and a member of parliament, honoured the event on Friday as chief guest. Professor Md Shah Ajam, the esteemed vice-chancellor of Shahjadpur Rabindra University was a chief guest at the play on Thursday at the school’s STM hall.
The principal of Scholastica Senior Campus, Mirpur, Nurun Nahar Mozumdar gave illuminating speeches that further enhanced the celebration.
The delightful play ‘Tasher Desh’, which boldly reimagines a new way by breaking away from conventional norms, was masterfully directed by Sani Ghosh.
The play featured a talented collaborative cast, including Bornil Murchona, Onnona Ardri Zara, Nusaiba Nashita Rahman, Tajim Tajwar, Mahadi Hassan Muhit, Shagota Bhowmik Roy, Nuha Naznin, Tawhid Sarkar, Adriyan Pranjol, and Abdullah Al Rafi, who skilfully portrayed a range of captivating characters within the drama’s narrative.
The charming musical arrangements were skilfully directed by Shuvo Kormokar, while the mesmerizing dance performances were expertly choreographed and directed by Shammi Yasmin Jhinuk and Tanjina Meghla. Their combined efforts added a captivating and entertaining dimension to the overall performance.
