“Ittadi” has always been a show that portrays the issues of the general populace. It blends culture and music with history, ensuring an educational, yet perfectly enjoyable experience.
This time, the “Ittadi” has been prepared in Bagerhat, a city known for its ancient treasures and as the entrance to the Sundarbans, a city notable for its many accomplishments by Khan Jahan.
The stage has been made up using various machinery used in ships, rivers and harbors etc. at Mongla port, on the bank of the Pashur River.
The program starts with a dance featuring an opening song about Bagerhat, written by Moniruzzaman Palash. Over a hundred dancers from various schools in Bagerhat took part in the performance. The song was sung by Rajeev, Ayan Chakladar, Tanzina Ruma, and Emeli. Hanif Sanket composed the music, while Mehdi arranged it. Local singers Nasir and Sanjida Rimi performed, with lyrics by Kabir Bakul and music by Kishore Das.
Three audience members are chosen through a Q&A session at the venue follows specific audience rules. Nikhil Krishna Majumder, a well-known folk musician from Bagerhat, takes part in the event. Several of his students also join him in the second phase.
