Sakib al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal on Saturday assured Mizanur Rahman of financial help when the right-side paralysed student met them at the Mirpur academy and asked him to contact them on January 19.
Mizanur, a second year student of political science department at the Victoria University, was afflicted with typhoid one year ago which paralysed his right arm and right leg. Son of a professor, he went to Madras for treatment at the CMC Hospital.
Mizanur was told by the college authorities to meet the national captain for some sort of assistance as he has yet not totally recovered.
He needs Tk 10 lakh for further treatment and could arrange only Tk 7.40 lakh and his is going from door to door to arrange the money.
‘I came here with a lot of hope as my father cannot bear my medical expenses,’ said Mizanur.
‘Masharfee bin Murtaza, a student of my father, also came to my aid as he provided Tk 15,000 for my treatment,’ he said.
Mizanur passed his SSC exam in 2005 and HSC in 2007 with Grade A+ and hopes to continue his studies if he gets well that seemed to be a lost hope.
