Recitation troupe Abritty- Abritty celebrated its 10th founding anniversary and a reunion through an array of recitations and discussion sessions at a programme held at the Teachers Students Cultural Centre of
Islamic University in Kushtia on Saturday.
Artistes of the organisation recited and rendered songs in chorus. The senior members of the organisation shared their views, experiences with the new members and participated in recitation.
IU vice-chancellor professor Abdul Hakim Sarkar was the chief guest and pro vice-chancellor Shahinoor Rahman was present as a special guest. Bangladesh Abritty Somonnoi Parishad’s organising secretary Khan Majharul Haque Lipu and publication secretary Mojumder Biplob were also present among others.
Abritty – Abritty president Fatematujjohora Brishty presided over the programme, coordinated by Samiul Haque Sammo.
Abritty- Abritty was founded on April 28, 2003 with the aim to teach proper diction and recitation in Bangla. Since then, it has been organising different workshops on recitation and cultural programmes on campus.
