The registration for admission to Rajshahi University Engineering and Technology BSc honours courses under the academic session 2010-11 started on Friday and will continue till October 25 through mobile phone short message service.
The admission test will be held on November 8 at 9:30am to 1:30pm, a RUET press release said.
The admission seekers can use the government-operated Teletalk for SMS service to submit their applications and collect roll number with a fee of Tk 500.
The requirement for application is at least GPA 4 in SSC or equivalent grade and in HSC or equivalent level the requirement is total GPA 17 in mathematics, physics, chemistry and English.
In the HSC level, the applicants must have at least GPA 3.5 in physics, chemistry and mathematics and 3.00 in English.

The student welfare adviser of RUET, Professor Ashraful Islam, told New Age, ‘This is the first time the application for submission is being carried out through mobile phone SMS. I hope the system will lessen the sufferings of the admission seekers.’
