A goal from Kabir and a Metlife own-goal accounted for the rest of HSBC’s scoring, while Sadi and Jahangir scored for the insurance providers.
The second match of the day saw tournament newcomers Airtel top their group with a 2-1 victory over pharmaceutical company Incepta. Amirul and Mashuk scored one goal apiece for Airtel, who held on after a late Incepta comeback attempt and booked their spot in the cup rounds.
