Film star Alamgir will host a game show titled Houseful featuring Bangladeshi film industry from September 16, announced at a press conference.
Details of the programme were explained at the press conference held at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation on Monday.
Houseful will be a game show where participants can take part by answering a quiz by sending SMS. In each episode, thirty participants, randomly selected by lottery, will take part though only six of them will have the chance to play the game onstage with Alamgir.
The show is divided in six segments; Picture Puzzle Game, Light Round, Rolling Round, Action Round, Playback Round and Climax Round. The contestants will have to answer various questions relating Bangladeshi movie industry. The winner of each episode will win a mobile phone and winners from several episodes will participate in a gala Round where the champion will get a brand new car.
The programme will be aired on private TV channel Maasranga TV on every Friday and Saturday at 9.20pm, announced in the conference.
Fahim Munayem and Hasan Abidur Raza Jewel, chief executive officer and head of programme of Maasranga TV respectively and celebrated film actor Alamgir were present at the programme.
The organisers claimed that they launched the programme with the goal to rejuvenate the fading film industry of Bangladesh.
At the conference, film star Alamgir disclosed that they have already recorded eight episodes and they have primary plan to air fifty two episodes of Houseful.
Selected parts of the recorded eight episodes were screened at the conference.
