Md Altaf Hossain has been promoted to the position of additional managing director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, according to a press release.
Prior to his current position, he was deputy managing director of the bank.
He started his banking career in 2004 as vice-president in Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited.
Before joining the bank, he worked in various local and multinational companies.
He also currently holds important positions in different organisations, including BRAC, MIDAS, SEDF and Grameen Fund, said the press release.
