Anamul Haque amassed 110 runs at the top of the order as Bangladesh A posted a first innings total of 274/8 in their one-dayer against Worcestershire on Friday.
Anamul hit eight fours and three sixes in his 122-ball knock before finally offering a catch to Daryl Mitchell off the bowling of Shaaiq Choudhry, whose 3/35 from 10 overs were by far the Worcester-based side’s best bowling figure in the innings.
Mominul Haque also played an important innings, scoring 64 off 60 and putting up a 96-run third-wicket partnership with Anamul to take Bangladesh A to 198/2 before the opener finally fell in the 39th over.
Naeem Islam came in at number five and smashed an unbeaten 47 from just 35 deliveries to take the tourists
to the end as wickets tumbled around him.
The score is Bangladesh A’s second highest of the tour to date, surpassed only by the 292/7 posted in Wednesday’s four-wicket loss to Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Worcestershire were 205-2 after 34 overs in their effort to send the tourists to their fifth loss in five matches against county opposition ahead of their three-match unofficial ODI series with the England Lions, which begins on Tuesday in Bristol.
