Zero Degree, a film featuring the stories of an urban crisis-torn family life where the focus is on the people’s lives when family bond becomes weak,
started its shooting phase.
The maharat of the film was held at the Seven Hill Restaurant on Tuesday noon through a grand opening show. The director and the scriptwriter of the full length feature film Animesh Aich revealed his crews and casts of the film at the event. Besides the director Animesh Aich, the producer and the lead actor of the film Mahfuz Ahmed as well as Joya Ahsan, Ruhi and others were present on the occasion.
Zero Degree is going to be Aich’s first full-length feature film. Earlier in 2011 Aich worked on another film Na Manush that is based on a story by the prominent writer Shahidul Jahir. However the shooting of the film is at a standstill.
‘Film-making is much more challenging and rewarding than making television plays. I have always thought of making films. I hope the film lovers will enjoy the film,’ shared Aich.
Popular actors Mahfuz Ahmed, Zoya Ahsan, Ruhi and Zayed will enact the major roles in the film. The shooting of the film began yesterday at different locations in Dhaka. Besides Dhaka, a number of scenes of the film will be shot in Singapore.
The director hopes to release the film in the first month of the next year.
Zero Degree will be produced by production house Play House. Animesh Aich came to prominence for his teleplay Kufa. Thereafter, he has directed many teleplays like Manush Bodol, Nishad, Biscuit, Gharchhara, Osomoy, Bhuter Chhana which got positive responses from the viewers. One of his teleplays Gorom Bhat Othoba Nichhak Bhuter Golpo is included in the film studies course at the Pune University.
Apart from being a famed director, Animesh is a gifted actor too. He has appeared in a number of productions. His last screen appearance was in Amit Ashraf’s film Udhao, where he played the role of a killer, and for which he was much appreciated by the viewers.
