Bangladesh Ansar and VDP retained their Women’s National Football title by defeating Narayanganj 4-0 in the final at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong on Monday.
National cap Nuby Ching Marma opened scoring for Ansar just four minutes after the start and her national team-mate Aumraching Marma doubled the lead five minutes later.
Bangladesh Ansar, comprised of renowned national strikers, increased the margin to 4-0 when Rupali Chakma and Jahanara Akter Janu netted one each in the 53rd and the 62nd minutes respectively.
Aklima Khatun of Jessore was adjudged as the player of the tournament while Aumraching was the highest scorer with 13 goals in the tournament.
Member of Parliament and Bangladesh Football Federation executive committee member Shamsul Haque Chowdhury handed over the prizes to the winners after the final where the BFF officials were present.
