Major General Nazim Uddin, the director general of Bangladesh Ansar, hinted that they might pull out from kabaddi after serious disciplinary breach by his
charges during the women’s kabaddi final last week.
Ansar put themselves in a shame when they attacked match officials and left them bloodied after their loss to BJMC, which tainted their otherwise successful campaign in the Bangladesh Games.
General Nizam said they have launched an internal inquiry and promised to punish if anyone id found guilty.
`We have launched a departmental inquiry. I can assure that we will punish anyone found guilty in our inquiry,’ he told New Age. ‘The incident tainted our image and we are now seriously thinking of pulling out from kabaddi.
