Bangladesh Army clinched the title of the Walton Refrigerator Independence Day Hockey beating Bangladesh Navy by 3-2 goals in final at the Maolana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.
The winners led the first half by 1-0 goal.
Milon Hossain scored a brace in the 61st and 64th minutes after Abdul Malek scored a lone goal in the 8th minute for Bangladesh Army.
Mamun Murtoza and Rimon Kumar netted one goal apiece for Bangladesh Navy in the 56th and 65th minutes respectively.
Sheikh M Nannu of Fair Fashion was named the best player of the competition while Milon Hossain of the champions team emerged as highest scorer of the meet.
Besides, Fair Fashion team was named the fair play team in the competition.
