Bangladesh Army emerged unbeaten champions in the Victory Day Rugby Tournament beating Flame Boys 31-7 in the final at the Paltan Maidan.
Earlier four teams took part in a single league system in the fist phase. The top two teams from the first phase qualified for the final. Army also defeated Flame Boys 31-5, Khilgaon Pragati Sangha beat Victoria Sporting 12-5, Flame Boys beat Victoria 33-5, Army beat Khilgaon Pragati Sangha 47-5, Flame Boys beat Khilgaon Pragati 37-5 and Army beat Victoria 24-7.
NSC guard commander valiant freedom fighter Shamsul Haque distributed prizes as chief guest. Bangladesh Rugby Union (BRU) general secretary Mousum Ali along with other BRU officials were present during the prize giving ceremony.

Bangladesh Army despite defeating Border Guard Bangladesh by 10-9 in the last match of the Walton Victory Day Kabaddi Tournament, the latter edged past Army on the basis of scoring better point-rate.
Earlier Bangladesh became third outplaying Fire Service 37-14.
