The Automated System for Customs Data World, the latest automated system for customs data management, was installed at Chittagong Customs House on Monday in an effort to check tax evasion at the Chittagong Port and bring dynamism inthe revenue collection.
National Board of Revenue member M Nasir Uddin inaugurated the computerised custom management system installed at a cost of Tk 10
crore at customs house auditorium.
Speaking on the occasion, Nasir Uddin said they introduced the updated software version — ASYCUDA World — as a pilot project at the CCH to reduce hassles for all stakeholders and save time and cut expenses in customs clearances.
