Country’s first private satellite television ATN Bangla has turned 15 on Friday. On this occasion, the television authority organised a colourful cultural programme at its Bashundhara Studio. Only the members of ATN Bangla family performed at the programme which was aired live. Senior reporter of ATN Bangla Keramatullah Biplob and Hridoy Nondita Hridy hosted the programme. Noted media celebrities including Mamunur Rashid, Babul Ahmed, Zahid Hasan, Toukir Ahmed, Mahfuz Ahmed, Monir Khan Shimul, Shahriar Nazim Joy, Imon, Bipasha Hayat, Nadia, Shaina Amin and Nargis Akter attended the programme. On Friday, noted political leaders, cultural and media personalities, artistes, sports celebrities and leaders of different socio-economic organisations went to the office of ATN Bangla and appreciated its media activities for long 15 years. Meanwhile, on 15th July of 1997, ATN Bangla started its voyage. The channel started airing news from 2001 and its news is being aired at every hour since 2003. The channel has achieved ‘Amy Award’ in 2004 for its exclusive programme ‘Amrao Pari’. ATN Bangla is also promoting cultural and sports sector of Bangladesh by covering national and international events.
