Today TV channel ATN Bangla steps into 14 years of being on air. To celebrate the special occasion, the channel will broadcast a number of special programmes today and tomorrow. Special programmes began at 12 am last night through live coverage of the cultural show “Chouddotey Pa.” The programme was held at ATN Bangla’s studio at Bashundhara Shopping Mall. Chairman of the channel, Mahfuzur Rahman, along with noted personalities launched the programme through cutting a cake.
A programme for children, titled “Ajob Deshey Ekdin,” will be aired at 9:20 am today. Nahid Rahman and Punam Sharmin are the directors of the programme. Live coverage of the celebration from ATN Bangla office will be telecast from 10:30 am. Telefilm “Raag” will be aired at 3:20 pm. Written by Masum Reza, the telefilm has been directed by Salahuddin Lavlu. The cast includes Chanchal Chowdhury, Bonna Mirza, Amirul Haque Chowdhury and Shirin Alam.
A concert will be aired live from 8 pm. The concert will be held in front of ATN Bangla office at Karwan Bazar and will feature popular bands and artistes such as Nagar Baul, LRB, Warfaze, Prometheus, Souls, Feedback, Metal Maze, Black, Momtaz, Shuvro Dev, Kaniz Subarna, Dolly Sayantani and Hyder Husyn.
On July 16, special talk show “Borshoboroner Kotha” will be aired at 11:05 am. Hosted by Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury, the programme will feature Tanvin Sweety, Dipa Khandakar, Joy, Smriti and Topu as guests. Special programme “Bhalobashar ATN Bangla” will be aired at 12:10 pm that day. Debashish Biswas is the host of the programme.
Bangla feature film “Ek Buk Bhalobasha” will be aired at 2:40 pm on July 16. A cultural programme on the anniversary will be telecast live from Bangabandhu International Convention Centre at 7:45 pm. Indian artistes Shoumitra Chattopadhyaya, Arati Mukhopadhyaya, Indranil Sen, Haimanti Shukla along with Bangladeshi singer Eva Rahman will perform at the programme.
