A Bangla language television channel targeting to promote Bangla language and culture amongst the Bangladeshi expatriates living in the USA named TBN24 will begin its journey in next September, said a press release. The release further reads that the officials of Total Broadcasting Network, the mother organisation of the channel, presented details of the upcoming channel at a press conference held at a community center in New York on Thursday.
Though the target viewers of the channel are young generation people having Bangladeshi origin, the channel will also air few English programmes, the release added.
A weather channel named TBN Weather has already been launched by extirpate journalist Syed Mohammad Ullah at the press conference, reads the release.
The organisers also declared their plan of launching some other Bangla channels including TBN Cinema, TBN Sports and TBN Music.
Chief of executive officer of Total Broadcasting Network Ahmedul Bhuiyan Pulak, singer Rathidronath Roy, actors Riaz and Jamaluddin Hossain, former head of programme of BTV Riazuddin Badshah, and others were present at the press conference.
