Bangladesh has secured second position among seven Asian countries in its maiden international standardised IT Engineers Examination. Bangladeshi IT professionals’ passing ratio in ITEE is 15.8 per cent, the second highest next to Vietnamese among six IT Professionals Examination Council member countries. The member countries are: Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam that promote common ITEE in Asian region.
The ITEE, presently recognised by 12 Asian countries, is basically a national standardised examination of Japan for IT professionals. The ITEE has introduced in Bangladesh last month with the support of JICA.
‘Bangladesh has marked very high passing ratio in the 1st international ITEE in Bangladesh. Number of passers of the 1st ITEE is 25 and its passing ratio 15.8 per cent,’ Project director of BD-ITEC Sk Amzad Hossain said when announcing the authorised result of 1st ITEE in Bangladesh on Tuesday.
This national ITEE was held in the capital on October 27 at Curzon Hall, University of Dhaka with attendance of 158 examinees with a view to giving a global recognition to the skills, knowledge and experience of Bangladesh IT professionals.
