Bangladesh Football Federation’s Professional Football League Committee have decided to keep the professional league off from February 14 to March 3 after a meeting with 12 participating clubs on Tuesday.
The competition will go to a break because of the absence of the Under-23 national team players who will be engaged in their Olympic Pre-qualifiers assignment during the period.
The committee have also decided that the League won’t be interrupted by any kind of national team activities after this.
The clubs appealed to postpone the 2nd players transfer window and to schedule it after the end of the first leg of the league since the schedule of the competition is shifted. PFLC assured the clubs that they will discuss the issue in their next meeting on February 6 when they will discuss about national team’s involvement in the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers which will take place between March 21-25. National team management committee will join that meeting apart from the Bangladesh League clubs.
