A three-day trade fair, titled ‘Trade in Bangladesh’ will begin in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday aiming to boost Dhaka-KL trade, organisers said on Sunday.
Headmaster Events in collaboration with the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association and Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association are organising the show at the Putra World Trade Centre at Kuala Lumpur.
Commerce minister GM Quader and former prime minister of Malaysia Tun Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi will attend inaugural session of the event as chief guests.
The opening session will include traditional songs and dance troupe of Malaysia organised by the Cultural and Tourism Ministry of Malaysia.
Hundreds of Bangladeshi products, including handicraft, footwear, RMG, tourism, housing, banks, insurance and cosmetics, will be put on display at 70 stalls from 10:00am to 7:00pm every day.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Bangladesh Tourism Board, Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation, Pubali Bank, Popular Life Insurance Co, Regent Airways and National Credit and Commerce Bank Ltd are the key participants of the trade show.
Sponsors of the fair are Regent Airways, National Credit and Commerce Bank, Bangladesh Tourism Board and Elenga Hotel Sdn Bhd (Malaysia).
